"Every Child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up"
Pablo Picasso
Artzone was established in 2003 to help encourage students to use art as a means of self expression, problem solving & to have fun with Art. As professional art teachers we believe in art for art's sake, but we also belive that art, design, craft and creativity have a very important role to play in childhood, business and leisure.
Early induction and training in the arts opens a world of creativity and opportunity for your child. They will learn valuable art skills through our classes but more importantly they will build the confidence to create and innovate through many different media.
Structured Aproach - We are teachers, and Artzone is an Art School, so our curriculum is structured. We set learning objectives, creative challenges and quality targets for every class, every camp and the academic year as a whole.
Constant Innovation - The Artzone Studio Team prepare a brand new portfolio for each term. Every Class or Workshop takles a learning objective, supported by web research and a series of teaching aids. Our portfolios follow a tried and trusted structure but we aim never to repeat the exact same activity twice.
Artzone classes are focused on three main age groups:-
- Minors - 5 to 7 Years - Inroduction to art concepts and techniques. Focus on confidence building and having fun.
- Minors - 8 to 12 Years - deeper exploration of various art techniques, taking a mini-project approach.
- Advanced - Teens - Intensive project based work, focused on deep exploration of one particular media each term. Suitable for students of all abilities, whether starting out or seeking an advantage on the Junior Cert curriculum. Class sizes are kept small
Artzone Teachers are qualified Art Teachers (mainly from the Faculty of Education, NCAD.
