Ally (8) and Leo McDonnell(10) would be interested in doing the Tweens class 16th-20th August. Please let me know how to book the camp and where it is on. Regards

Sorry Jennifer. The Animation Summer Camp for Tweens is on 30th July to the 3rd August at Artzone Studios. If that week suits I will book the boys in for you using your details on file if you wish. Just drop me a line at info@artzone.ie. Best regards, Paul

    Hi
I’m looking for an art camp near dublin 7 for a very keen 9yr old boy please.

The comic camp looks great. Is it strictly 10+ and do you have any camps on the north side please?

    Thank you

    Tony

Hi Tony, The specialist camps are a new initiative for us. We are running them out of our own centre in Rathfarnham. We hope to run them in The Red Stables Art Centre next summer. We do have a good camp that would suit your son in Na Fianna GAA club on Monday 29th July to 2nd August. An outline of the portfolio is on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/artzone.ie . Best regards, Paul

Hi Eamon, We are running two each of these popular camps. There are still spaces on all 4 camps. Your son is right in the middle of the age profile, except for the August Animation Camp which has a younger student age profile at the moment. Best regards, Paul

  5. Eileen says:

Is there still a place left on the August animation camp for my daughter, aged 10?

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Eileen, we have two places left in the Animation course next week. There is a good mix of boys and girls and 10 is a good age for this particular camp (the July camp had an older age profile). Best regards, Paul

      • Eileen says:

        Hi Paul,
Before I commit, can you tell me the hours each day as we’d be travelling quite a distance and want to be sure we could do it. You’re in Rathfarnham right?
        E

        • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Eileen, The times are 10am to 2pm each day. We can be flexible on drop off and pickup times as the office is next to the studio and is open from 9am and after 2pm. We are beside Rathfarnham Castle and Playground. We are 5 minutes from Rathfarnham Shopping Centre and 10 minutes from Dundrum; 15 minutes into the city. We have lots of free parking and the bus to the city is right outside our grounds. Best regards, Paul

Where is the stop motion animation camp located? Are there any camps or classes in California? :)

  7. Emer says:

My son is 8 but very interested in stop motion animation (though no real experience of it). Would he be far too young for the Easter camp?
    Thanks, Emer

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

If your son is keen to try it out he should be fine. We pitch it at 9 – 14 years, but this is just a guide – it is really about the level of interest. David and Dermot run a great course – they are kept fully engaged, working in teams on the concept, storyboarding, set building, character creation, shooting and editing their own movies. Best regards, Paul

  8. Emer says:

    Paul / David,
My son Daragh really loved last week’s stop motion animation camp. He was very sad it was over. His young age wasn’t an issue at all, thankfully. It’s a great camp for something different, both fun and interesting and stimulating, and good for team work. He learnt a lot. Thanks very much,
    Regards, Emer

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Thanks for taking the time to leave the feedback Emer. David was very happy with the camp last week – pity it wasn’t longer. We have a really good programme lined up for Tweens at Artzone Studios this Summer. Best regards, Paul

  9. Trish says:

I have a 7 year old daughter in 1st Class and another daughter that will be 4 in early May. Can they both attend the Ballyroan Easter camp? Also, will they be assigned to the same group? Thanks!

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Trish, Really sorry, Your older daughter would be perfect age for the camp but we only cater for Primary and Secondary School Children in our camps. The processes, policies and routines for caring for pre-schoolers is very different and the art projects would be very hard for them. It is worth waiting until they are ready. Take care! Paul
