Hi, I was hoping to get more information on the art classes. Thanks Fiona.
Hi Fiona, Just email bookings@artzone.ie with any questions you have about any particular classes or call us on 01 4990614. Sarah will co-ordinate a response from the Tutor(s) involved. Regards, Paul
hi just wondering what materials you need to do the beginners painting class oil & acrylics?
Hi Niamh. We will arrange all the materials you need for the classes in bulk to keep costs down. The Tutors are working on this at the moment. We will give you details of the starter pack before you start and have it ready for you at the first class. Regards, Paul
What do the stitch and sew classes involve? Does one need to bring their own machine? I am quite a beginner.
Hi Rachel, The course is suitable for beginners and improvers. We have sewing machines in the studio for the classes. Louise will advise you down the line if you wish to invest in your own machine – she has a special deal with Singer for Artzone students. Regards, Paul
hi
I was wondering whaat is the curriculum for the stitch and sew course and the dressmaking course and what date do they start please
thank you
Hi Adeline, The course takes you through the process from learning to use a sewing machine, interpret patterns, customise and make your dress. Course start week commencing 10th September. Regards, Paul
Hey, Myself and my friend have bought a three week course in dressmaking from city deals, is it possible to start our three weeks in the 2nd term of the course in November as we are not available in september? I saw in the calender above, there are more classes starting in november. Thanks!
Sure Steph. Just make the booking when you get your voucher or closer to the start of term 2. We will also be adding more courses over time. Regards, Paul, Artzone
Hi, what is the difference between the stitch and sew class and the dressmaker class? Also, is it possible to bring my own machine because I’m really struggling with it.
Thanks,
Clara
The Love your Machine is a more general sewing class – it initially focuses on learning to sew and creating soft furnishings. The dress making class focused on dress making from day 1. You could bring your machine along – Louise would advise you on this after class. Regards, Paul
Hi Paul,
Just wondering here if we need to bring materials to the dressmaking classes? Also, I see that most of the classes are grouped into terms of 8 weeks each but the groupon vouchers are only for 3 classes, in order to complete the course will it be necessary to do all 8 classes?
Thanks
Ruth
Hi Ruth, The Groupon is an introductory offer to make sure the course is for you. If you wish to stay on and complete your garment over the 8 weeks you just pay the balance of fees to the end of term. You dont need anything for the first class. Louise will advise you on sourcing your own pattern and materials once you are up and running. regards, Paul
Hi,
I am interested in doing the jewelley making classes. Could you please give me details of the price and when the next course is starting!!
Thanks
Fiona
Hi Fiona. The next jewellery course starts this Thursday 15th November at 7pm. The fee is €96 for 8 weeks including all the equipment. Give us a quick call on 01 4990614 to book a place. Best regards, Paul
Hi, my boyfriend is always talking about taking up painting – watercolours. I would love to get him a set of lessons as a Christmas present. Would the adult art class be suitable for someone who is in their 50′s and an absolute beginner?
Hi Jacinta, The classes suit absolute beginners. Many people havent lifted a paint brush since primary school. The teachers are very qualified and used to all ages and abilities. If you give us a call on 01 4990614 we will arrange a nice voucher pack for you. Best regards, Paul
Hi, i am interested in doing the dress making course but im actually only 16. i was wondering if i could still do it? thanks!
Hi Jessica. We have a wide range of ages at the Fashion and Dress Making Classes. No reason you couldnt do the Dress Making, as long as you are comfortable with the age range. You could book for a trial session (3 classes for €18) before you commit longer term. Best regards, Paul
Hi,
My friemd got the groupon trial deal for the 3 weeks to try the jewellery course. I was wondering if I could do the 3 classes with her and if so how much it would be?
Thanks for your help.
Best regards,
Rosaria
Hi Rosaria, There would be no problem joining your friend. The classes are €12 per class (two hours including equipment). So that would be €36 for the three weeks. Regards, Paul
Thanks Paul!
Best regards,
Rosaria
Hi, im just enquiring about your artzone locations you don’t have any around the Blackrock area or along the coast? When do the classes start back up? and what time of drawings do you do? is it just objects or do you do visuals kind of like expressing yourself art if you get me? Thanks, Simone
Hi Simone, We have classes in Blackrock (Wednesday 4.30); Glenageary (Saturday 11.00am) or Greystones (Monday 4.30). Our teachers work with the Primary School Art Curriculum – the projects tend to include objects or support studies. In the 8+ group the students always design their own art work but they are working with still life objects, photos, pictures, examples … They are working on a tonal drawing exercise based on Australian wildlife at the moment. You are welcome to book a class on a trial basis to see if it suits. Give us a quick call on 01 4990614 to register or book online at http://www.artzone.ie/bookings/class-booking/ any time. Regards, Paul
Sorry Simone, I just realised your question was in respect of the adult art classes. I am afraid we only run adult classes in Rathfarnham, in our studios beside Rathfarnham Castle. Regards,
Paul

They are fabulous drawings Arthur. Any of our painting classes would suit you. Our teachers are all young but experienced, qualified art teachers from NCAD. Pick a painting class that suits and we will set you up with a trial class (€5) before you commit longer term. Give us a quick call on 01 4990614 to register or book online at http://www.artzone.ie/bookings/class-booking/ any time. Regards, Paul

Hi Arthur, Painting classes every Monday and Thursday at 10am; and Thursday evening at 7pm. You can book a trial class if you like before committing longer term. Best regards, Paul
I’m interested in the sewing classes (probably stitch and sew) .. when does tht term start? I have my own Janome sewing machine but need help getting started properly ..
Would this class be suitable? What day and times? Or else would I be better doing the dressmaking course? I’m a beginner
Thanks
No problem Deirdre – either class will suit you, and we will be adding another evening soon. Sarah will be in touch to work out the best class and time for you. Regards, Paul
Hi there
I would like to take up the offer of trying the jewellery class for a trial. Can I come this the first week in February for the same price as I cannot come this week?
Also, does the course fee include materials and what sort of things do you do in the class?
Thank you
Hannah
Hi Hannah, We are extending the €5 trial. Just call Rachel or Sarah on 01 4990614 to secure your trial. Places are limited so there are a couple of places left on that class. Best wishes, Paul
Hi,
Just wondering if the jewellery class is a drop-in class or if it’s also a 8-week course? If drop-in, do you just pay 12€ then every time you come? When does the class start again?
Thanks,
Sophie
Hi Sophie, The Thursday evening jewellery class is an 8-week course. We do have a jewellery session coming up as part of our ‘Artistic Sunday Series for Adults’. This will take place on Sunday 23rd March, 2.00 – 5.00, limited to 12 places. €45 per attendee, or €40 buddy/ family rate. Best wishes, Paul
I am looking for evening class sketching/drawing beginners/intermediate
Hi Patricia, You should try our Wednesday evening drawing class with Hugh – 7 to 9pm. He is a fine artist himself and a qualified art teacher. Call 01 4990614 to arrange a trial. Regards, Paul
Hey,
I’m just wondering if you’re still taking students for the painting and drawing classes or will they be finished soon?
Hi Sophie, There are still students joining both painting and drawing. Class sizes are small so there is plenty of time for one to one with the tutors. You can book a trial class before committing longer term. Regards, Paul
