    Hi,

I spoke with you earlier today.

I was wondering if it would be possible to organise a Celtic Mask party in Raheny on Saturday next (Sept 17) for a birthday for a 9 y/o girl – with 15 attending.

    Margaret

  4. Rachel Quish says:

Hi – just a note to thank you for an absolutely fantastic birthday party hosted by Artzone for my 10 year old daughter attended by all her school pals. She chose the fashion theme and a superb teacher called Emma arrived at our house. She was a dream. She was so professional and set up the tables with all the art supplies for each child. She explained each step to them with undying patience, dedication and good humour and they waited on her every word. She guided and helped them to produce their own wonderful colourful masterpieces which were a joy to look at. The children loved her and were asking me when she would be back again. Alas, another year will have to pass but it certainly made this party a true success. Roll on next year – thanks again – Rachel Quish (Portmarnock)

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Many thanks again for the glowing feedback Rachel. We have a big revamp of the party offering planned for the new year – should be even better! Paul

    Hi

I just want to check and see if the camps published on the site for the summer that are closed are the camps due to take place this year, or are they last year’s camps and dates?

    Thanks
    Eveline

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Eveline, Our summer camp programme will not change radically, but we have not confirmed all the venues yet. You can book in advance with Sarah on 01 4063915. She will know if camps are definitely going ahead or not. We will publish a final list by the 3rd week of March. Regards, Paul

  11. Noelle O'Reilly says:

Hi. I’m wondeing if you are still running summer art camps in Naas/Newbridge for 2012. If so, is there any availability for a 5 year old boy.

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Noelle, We are running our own art camp in Naas GAA Club on July 30th to August 3rd – it is open for booking on our website. The younger group will be taking on a Wild West themed portfolio full of art, craft stories and games. While we supply teachers and portfolios for the camps at the Riverbank in Newbridge we dont actually have anything to do with the organisation of the camps. We are still waiting for word of their plans for the summer. Regards, Paul

Hi Karen, The sewing will start back early September (morning and evenings). We have the sewing machines so you just come along to the classes. Overtime you will take on your own patterns, materials and machine. If you complete the booking form online Sarah will confirm the exact start dates and times. Regards, Paul

  15. Jeanette says:

Hi, would you take a 12 year old in the teen camp on 9th July or would she be out of her league?

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Jeanette. There wouldn’t be a problem once she is into fashion. We had Tweens and Teens together at Easter. The Teen Camp will obviously take on tougher projects that the Tween camp but most of our camp teens are 13 – 15. Our classes tend to cater for the older Teens. If you wish to book just email me direct info@artzone.ie or give us a quick call on 01 4990614. Paul

  16. Darragh says:

    Hello there,

I have two boys – 5 and 7.5 and was wondering if you have any places left in Leixlip for week of July 9th ?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    best regards

    Darragh

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Sorry Darragh, only just seeing your enquiry. There are places in Leixlip. Call down to Our Ladys and ask for Hugh. He will be happy to set you up for the rest of the week. We just charge a pro-rata rate for the days left in the camp. Regards, Paul

  17. roisin says:

Hi, just wondering when the leixlip art class starts or when the next term starts, we live in celbridge but there doesnt seam to be a class available there for students outside of NKET.
Its a pity there is not another art class available in celbridge as there is a big demand for something like this.

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Roisin, It tends to take a big area to support a public art class so while we have classes in schools in Maynooth, Leixlip and Celbridge we only have public classes in Leixlip and Lucan. Leixlip starts back on Friday 14th September at 3.30pm. Is there after school art in you child’s school – if not we would be happy to discuss setting one up with whoever runs the after school programme. Many thanks, Paul

  20. Sarah says:

    Hi

What’s the maximum number of kids you can have at a party?

    Thanks

    Sarah

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Sarah, 35 is the biggest party we have catered for at in the main studio but we have catered for 45 – 50 at the same time across two studios. Alternatively we can hire Taney Parish Centre which can cater for up to 60. Regards,
      Paul

Paul, I enlisted my 2 boys Sean and Liam Spain to Thursdays Raheny class at 3pm.. Going on advise of the art teacher my younger guy is not ready for the class so I may hold off til nxt year if that’s ok.. I didn’t make any payment for yesterday’s class as I wAnted to see how they got on. Any problems please email me..
    Regards,
    Karen

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Karen, Sorry that the trial didnt work out for your younger son, but the teachers wouldnt give you that advice lightly – they are encouraged to keep their classes full. There will be no charge for the trial. We risk putting them off art if we force when they are not ready. Jenny recommended you try again in a couple of months – a couple of months can make a big difference at that age. Best regards, Paul

  24. Michelle Ritchie says:

Hi I wanted to enquire about the options for 2 parties for 2 girls, 5th (for 24 girls) and 7th (with 34 girls), in the Blackrock/stillorgan or near there. Parties will be at the end of Feb. We will need to have the party not at home. Can you let me know what the options are.

    Kind Regards Michelle

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Michelle. By far the best option would be our own Studio in Rathfarnham (beside the castle). We could also book Taney Parish Centre, Dundrum; Mount Merrion Community Centre or st Paul’s Parish Centre, Glenageary for you. Best regards, Paul

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

  28. Maura says:

Hi, have been looking for art classes in the area for my daughter aged 6. is there any space available in leixlip art class on a friday.

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Maura, There are places in the younger group (5 – 7 years) in Leixlip on Fridays at 3.30. The classes are run by qualified art teachers from NCAD. They research and produce new portfolios every term. Give us a quick call on 01 4990614 if you would like to book a trial class or you can complete the online booking form anytime http://www.artzone.ie/bookings/class-booking/.

  29. Yan says:

Hi, I have a little boy just over four and half years. He loves drawing. I’d like to learn if there are suitable activities for him. Are there places left in Stillorgan or Blackrock venues? Can you please also tell me when the said session start?

    Thank you!

    Yan

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Yan, We only cater for Primary School Children or from the age of 5. The HSE regulations for Preschool children are entirely different. If your son is in Primary School there are places in Blackrock (Wednesday) or Dundrum (Thursday). I would be happy to set up a trial class for you – just call 01 4990614 to arrange. Cheers, Paul, Artzone

  30. Sharon Mullen says:

Hi I am interested in your Easter class in Raheny. I have 2 boys aged 6 and 41/2. WOuld my 41/2yr old be able to attend. He goes to Monti. 5 days/week. Thanks
    Sharon

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Sharon, In reality all 4.5 year olds are different. The real age issue is the staffing, processes and regulations. The HSE guidelines for pre-schoolers are very different from Primary school students and our staff aren’t trained to deal with them. We never go into a toilet with our students (Primary School Children), whereas Preschoolers are accompanied for H&S. If you think he is ready for this give us a call on 01 4990614. Best regards, Paul

  31. Rakhee says:

Hi Rakee, We would be happy to have your daughter join one of the Saturday classes in The Victory Centre (10am and 11.15am). There is a good mix of boys and girls in both Tween (8 – 12 years) classes. Give us a call on 01 4990614 to book a trial class, or book online anytime at http://www.artzone.ie/bookings/class-booking/. Regards,
      Paul

    087 7705286

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

    Many Thanks,
    Kathy

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Sorry Kathy. We have nothing that far south at the moment. We are hoping to expand through partnerships or franchise in the next 12 – 18 months. Best regards, Paul

  36. fiona monahan says:

Hi, can you tell me if there are spaces left in your summer camp in Navan in July. I have 2 children aged 7 ( 8 in September) and 9. Can they both attend the class for over 8′s?
    Best Wishes
    Fiona

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Fiona, We have places in the Navan Camp at the moment. Just put your son down as 8 and her will automatically go into the older group. The age is only a guide – the teachers work it all out on the first day anyway. You can book online anytime http://www.artzone.ie/bookings/camp-booking-form/ or call 01 4063915. Regards, Paul

  37. Finola Fitzgerald says:

    Hi,

I have a 7 year old (8 in Aug) would like to join your monday afternoon class in Naas. Is it a good time for her to start or is the class well advanced. Should I wait for the summer camps. Also because she hasnt taken any art classes before would she be better in 5-7 year old age group.

    thnaks,

    Finola

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

No problem Finola. Bring her along to the class in Naas GAA Club for 4.30 Mondays. There are four classes left this year. It would be a good opportunity to try the classes and build her confidence. The teachers will advise you which class she should join in September. Best regards, Paul

    • Paul.Shorte@artzone.ie says:

Hi Finola, The summer camp is also a fun way to try things out. The portfolios are designed to be fun, but there is lots of challenge and learning in each project. A week in the 5-7 year group might set you up nicely for the older group in September. Regards, Paul
